Bethesda have confirmed that the upcoming Broken Steel DLC for Fallout 3 will increase the level limit by 10 and let players keep on truckin'.
Currently level 20 is the highest allowed and the game ends once the main quest line is brought to its climax. Broken Steel will let players join in the hunt for the Enclave forces.
"We felt there's no harm in letting the player enjoy the game as long as they'd like, and so along with removing the game's 'ending' with Broken Steel, we figure raising the level cap would allow them to do that," producer Jeff Gardiner told Eurogamer.
"We plan on raising it to level 30 - but it will be a long, hard climb to get there."
There are three DLC pieces planned but they won't be gracing the PS3, as they are being exclusively developed for Xbox 360 and PC. Operation: Anchorage will arrive later this month, and sees the player liberate Alaska from Chinese forces through a virtual simulator.
