Merger deadline passes, Battle.net account now required for WoW

Blizzard has been nice enough to give us a deadline and dangle a penguin pet in our faces, all so we’d merge our user accounts together.

Now if you want to play World of Warcraft you’re going to need a Battle.net account, otherwise you can’t do squat. Got your penguin?

The deadline for the merger of WoW and Battle.net accounts is today, meaning you must complete the process if you want to login to the MMO. This is all in effort to prepare for the new Battle.net that’s coming, which will handle all game account management.

If you haven’t merged yet then get yourself over there and get a penguin!
