Namco Bandai and Game Republic have announced a new game at GamesCom called ‘Majin: The Fallen Realm’, or at least that’s its name for the time being.
They ran a trailer showing a young guy exploring a castle and stumbling upon some spiky demons. A hill in the background reveals to be a giant ”being of legend”, who helps the adventurer.
”A young thief stumbles across a being of legend” was the caption across the debut trailer for ‘Majin’. The thief and monster were seen then walking along peacefully together, with developers explaining afterwards that they’d co-operate throughout the game.
It sounds an awful lot like PS3 exclusive The Last Guardian, where a boy befriends a very large creature that helps him overcome obstacles by working together.
‘Majin: The Fallen Realm’ will be very much ”in the Japanese style” they revealed. No platforms for release have been spilled yet, but it is expected spring 2010.
