Developer Naughty Dog has said Nathan Drake won’t be retiring any time soon, and that it will keep going ”as long as people want more” of the treasure hunter and his antics.
The studios secret for success is having no management but ”organised chaos”, everyone pitches in. Drake will have ”lots of adventures, thank god.” They’re ”self-contained enough.”
”Our expectation with Uncharted is that it can be an ongoing franchise as long as people want more of it. All these stories are self-contained enough,” creative director Amy Hennig told the US PlayStation.Blog.
She says you don’t need ”to play the last one to play this one - obviously you can get a bit more out of it if you have.” Nathan Drake is ”going to have lots of adventures, thank god.”
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune scored high among critics and fans for delivering fresh action and adrenaline in a genre that previously had Lara Croft as the only real spokesperson. See the clip below for an interview between Naughty Dog and the US PlayStation.Blog.
