Naked Sky's upcoming Star Trek D.A.C. videogame is a top-down 3D multiplayer space shooter, reveals studio CEO Joshua Glazer.
The team wanted a "pick up and play" game that's all about "getting online and kicking ass". It's more than just an arcade title though with strategy playing its role in up to 12-player, 2 team battles.
"We wanted to make a pick up and play thing that was just about getting online and kicking ass, so that anyone who liked kicking ass would like the game," said Glazer.
Star Trek D.A.C. is being released over Xbox Live Arcade near the film’s release date of May 8th, with a PlayStation network release a short while after. Joystiq have put together an impressive list of bullet points for the Naked Sky game.
"I think it's a mistake that most movie games try to emulate the plot of the movie," commented Paramount producer Benjamin Hoyt. Well unless the film is a top-down space shoot fest I don't think Mr Hoyt has anything to worry about.
