The PlayStation 3 community is a besieged one right now as users are reporting of widespread PlayStation Network hiccups from Sony.
Logging in doesn’t complete and even previously earned Trophies are disappearing. It seems to affect the older model PS3 the most.
”We’re aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, we’re looking into it,” said Sony. ”Stay tuned for updates.”
”Those of you with the newer, “slim” PS3s (120GB/250GB) seem to be unaffected,” posted Sony Europe’s Jem Alexander on the EU PlayStation.Blog.
Quantic Dreams’ Heavy Rain has become unplayable for many as the Sony servers continue to mess around. Aside from not getting to play your PS3 games, losing Trophies is likely to prove a major headache for Sony as gamers get rightfully annoyed.
If you haven’t logged into PSN for a while it’s probably best you stay away until those server problems blow over and Sony gives the all clear.
More on this when we have it.
