LucasArts is busy thinking about ”new directions” for Star Wars in the videogame space, but the top exec ”at the same time” wants ‘Super’ to return.
”There are certainly some ideas we’ve kicked around and we’re always trying to capture the spirit of some of those big moments from the films,” Blackman told CVG, talking about the original trilogy and videogaming.
”We’re also interested - and this is something that comes from George - in taking Star Wars in new directions, not just always going back and rehashing what has been done before,” said the Force Unleashed producer. Yes Lucas himself wants fresh ideas.
”But at the same time I would love to see a Super Star Wars on the Xbox 360, so I think anything is possible.” The Super Star Wars games explored the original trilogy with a traditional platform flair, proving to be a quite an addictive SNES hit.
