At least that’s the genuine hope, reveals creative director Tim Willits. Post-apocalyptic shooter Rage is the best title they’ve ”ever made.”
”It’s gonna be cool. It’s gonna be awesome. Hopefully, it’ll be even more awesome than Rage. For us as a company, every game needs to be better than the last,” id’s Willits told Xbox360Achievements in an interview, asked about DOOM 4.
”I truly believe that Rage is the best game we’ve ever made. When we made Doom 3 I said, Doom 3 is the best game we’ve ever made and Rage will be better. Hopefully. Doom 4 needs to be even more awesome than Rage.”
No major news about Rage is expected at E3, because of all that noise, but id will lift the lid off its secret awesomeness this August at QuakeCon (Aug 12-15th). Rage releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC sometime next year.
