No more manual tweaking of difficulty for co-op in the next Halo instalment as studio Bungie reveal Reach will scale your foes in toughness for you.
Brian Jarrard of Bungie also says you’ll face the hardest challenge ever with Reach’s Legendary difficulty coupled with four-player co-op.
This means that enemies don’t just remain static in their challenge to you if more people join for some action-packed co-op. They won’t only get more damage resistance either warns Jarrard, because they’ll start to use cover a lot more and use their smarts.
Halo: Reach doesn’t support drop-in or drop-out co-op like its predecessors, so you must decide on your group of chums prior to firing up a chapter. Online Firefight co-op though will allow for drop-outs but still keeps drop-ins off the menu.
Halo: Reach releases exclusively on Xbox 360 September 14th.
