The camera keeps tabs on ”20 joints” each ”active” so it seems that 40 joints are its limit. Retailer Play.com has listed the specifications online.
This will be a serious kick in the groin-region for Microsoft as they triumph Kinect as a tool for the whole family to have fun - providing the family can stand taking turns to flail around and get sweaty in the name of videogames. Their PR shows multiple players using Kinect, so have they been real dastardly and bending the truth?

Microsoft’s Kinect maps those 20 joints to the corresponding Xbox Live Avatar on screen for most games that will be released come launch day. It can track 6 people but only 2 being able to play at any one time is rather limiting compared to what’s been alluded to.
