This was learned by website Superannuation which discovered in the personal website of freelance video game designer Mikael Lindgren that his most recent project was “The Bourne Ascendency (Cancelled)”, which lists the developer as Starbreeze and the publisher as Electronic Arts.
This was one of two games that Starbreeze had been developing for Electronic Arts. This means the surviving game could be still be Syndicate, as there have been a lot of signs such as web domains pointing to the project. Furthermore, Starbreeze is not developing the sequel to their game The Darkness. A recent rumor had Syndicate being unveiled at GDC 2011.
Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy had been developed by High Moon Studios and published by Sierra in 2008, but canned the license after the one game.
