The first gameplay trailer has been released for Sonic Generations, and it reveals more information about the game.
You can play as either “classic” Sonic on a 2.5D map, or as the “modern” Sonic on a 3D map. They also don’t seem to interact - it seems to basically be a “2 games in one” situation.
