Super Meat Boy co-creator Edmund McMillen has announced his latest project, an RPG-shooter, The Binding of Isaac, will be released on September 28 on Steam and will cost $5 USD. The game is partially inspired by the Biblical story in which Abraham is told by God to sacrifice his son Isaac.
Isaac explores eight “dungeons”, shooting white blobs from his mouth that destroys enemies, which come in all shapes and sizes. According to McMillen’s blog there are multiple bosses and enemy types, as well as over 70 special items to use.
