With "new modes and moves" this new Backbreaker is the "total package" for fans. It emphasises on "pick-up-and-play" and "AAA appeal".
"Backbreaker Vengeance is the perfect summer game and a great addition to the wildly successful Backbreaker franchise,” said 505 Games' Ian Howe.
"Building on the instantly gratifying fun of Tackle Alley with new modes and moves, and with hundreds of intense levels, Backbreaker Vengeance is the total package for anyone who wants to jump into a game for a few minutes or a few hours."
Backbreaker Vengeance is powered by the euphoria engine, which has been adopted by Rockstar Games in Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption, as well as LucasArts in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed I and II.
"Backbreaker has changed the way people play football video games,” said Torsten Reil, NaturalMotion CEO. "Backbreaker Vengeance for Xbox LIVE Arcade takes everything we’ve learnt about truly live sports gaming and combines it with arcade gameplay for the fastest, most instantly playable football experience anywhere."
Backbreaker launched on mobile platforms in 2009 and has gained over 5 million fans. It releases on Xbox 360 June 29th and on PlayStation 3 later this summer.
