Sure fans are a little upset they have to wait but the real issue stoking their fury is the difference in price. The Klassic Skin Pack is $4.99 in the US.
UPDATE: Warner Brothers have admitted pricing errors. The publisher is ensuring that the issue for European PSN users is ”rectified” with cheaper and more fair sales tags for the Klassic Skin Pack in the UK and EU. Skarlet DLC due next week.
Original Story follows:
However if you want the Klassic add-on in the UK or Europe’s mainland then you’ll need to cough up £5.49 and €6.99 respectively. It doesn’t take a genius too note the huge pricing difference. Understandably PS3 gamers are on the war path.
One user wrote: ”I sincerely hope that people think long and hard before they give in to consumerism and pay the bloated price for these because quite frankly, NRS and Sony are calling us mugs right to our faces and letting our impatience govern our actions confirms their beliefs.” NRS refers to NetherRealm Studios the developer behind Mortal Kombat.
”You truly are exploitative swines Sony/NRS and you should be damn right ashamed.”
Another said: ”The lack of Skarlet and the double price on a two week late DLC pack is nothing but an out-and-out insult to EU MK fans.”
There’s no word from publisher Warner Brothers yet. Should some standard be set for region pricing when it comes to digital distribution, like being tied to the exchange rate?
