This Monday there’ll be details spilling on their Facebook page and on PlayStation.Blog. The game has a robed figure journey towards a mountain.
That’s it really as there’s no map or instructions to follow as your robed figure traipses toward a mountain in the distance across a desert. You can have other players join up and help but we there’s no text or voice communication - not even a name.
Designer Jenova Chen says ”it’s about two strangers who meet online. They don’t know who they are or how old they are. All they know is, that is another human being.” A ‘wordless shout’ can get the attention of other players but that’s it.
Symbols will adorn the robes to help identify if you’ve crossed paths with someone before. Magical objects and ruins will litter the land and collectible cloth can let you briefly fly. Journey releases exclusively on PS3 later this year. Beta news is out Monday.
