Dead Block is landing on Xbox Live Arcade on July 6 for 800 MSP ($9.99 USD), reports XBLA Fans.
The game is a cartoonish zombie apocalypse set in the 1950's - complete with a period soundtrack - as the undead try to gain access to a boarded house and eat three survivors, who include Jack Foster a construction worker, Foxy Jones a traffic warden, and Mike Bacon, a perpetually hungry boy scout. The trio build blockades, set traps and – as a last resort – use weapons to fight the zombies.
The game is rife with humor as the survivors kill zombies in unusual and entertaining ways by installing wacky, creative traps, while fighting the intruders with smart bombs and melee weapons. Players switch between all three characters during levels. There's even a split-screen co-op mode for friends to find zombies together.
Dead Block is also due for release on PSN and PC - no release date has been set yet.
