”I’d be a little scared at this point, in June, if I was looking forward to a particular game that wasn’t on the console and running at 60,” said Schofield . ”60 is our competitive edge and you just don’t throw that away.” You shouldn’t talk game engines he states.
As a studio ”you don’t ship an engine, you ship a game”. EA and DICE have been tooting the horn of the new Frostbite Engine 2 which increases destructibility as well as visual aesthetics. It looks like Activision is stepping up their war of words.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC November 8th. Battlefield 3 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC October 25th in the US, 27th in Europe.
