Minecraft has sent shockwaves through the industry, as more and more games are being developed that are inspired by the block world building MMO. Developer Infernum has announced their own variation of the concept, Brick Force, which is basically a sandbox shooter using Minecraft aesthetics.
Like Minecraft, players build their own structures with bricks. However, in Brick Force’s case, the player-created world becomes the basis for a shooter level, with what resembles LEGO men shooting at each other. Players can also share their virtual playgrounds with the community, just as Minecraft does as well.
Infernum has announced a closed beta which can be registered for at the official site here. The game will be released sometime in 2012 as a free-to-play title.
