The Banner Saga has raised more than four times its goal during its Kickstarter fundraising, which is allowing the developer Stoic Studio to bring on more team members to work on the strategy-RPG.
One of the new team members is Austin Wintory, who is responsible for the evocative score of the current PlayStation Network hit Journey. Wintory was recently given the Hollywood Music Award for Best New Film Composer and won Best Original Score - Video Game.
Stoic also contracted sound studio Kpow Audio, which did the audio for L.A. Noire, and Powerhouse Animation, an experienced group of animators who have worked on Epic Mickey, DC Universe and Starhawk.
The Banner Saga has earned over $400K and still has 12 more days of fundraising to go. The game’s Kickstarter page can be found here.
