Tim Schafer’s Double Fine has announced a new Monster Hunter-style stop-motion animated action-RPG, Brazen. The game is being guided by Brad Muir, who also created Iron Brigade (nee Trenched) for the developer.
The game will allow up to four players to engage in class-based online co-op battles against Ray Harryhausen-inspired mythical creatures.
According to Muir, ”Growing up with my Dad, he really encouraged my imagination through watching those movies with him. All those mythical creatures and beasts in those films are just awesome. There’s this weird, other-worldly quality in them that’s missing from modern day CG and video games. I don’t feel there’s enough of the craftsmanship that goes into making that stuff.”
