The first person shooter version of XCOM being developed by 2K Marin has been delayed another year, according to Tale 2 Interactive's financial report. The game will now be released during the financial year starting the 1st April 2013 and the 31st March 2014.
The chief reason for the delay is that most of the development team of 2K Marin had been reassigned to BioShock Infinite, which itself was delayed.
Firaxis' strategy game reboot, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, is still slated for a Fall 2012 release. Both games are being released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
