Blitz Games is co-developing Epic Mickey 2 with Warren Spector's Junction Point team, according to a press release. While Spector's main development team works on the Wii version, Blitz will be responsible for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.
According to Disney Interactive, "(The game) is being developed much like a feature film with a different studio contributing to the development of the game. It's a full partnership between Junction Point and Blitz with one creative leadership team and one creative vision."
The PlayStation 3 version will feature Move support, which makes sense since the Wii version will utilize the similar Wii Remote control. However, the Xbox 360 version will not support the Kinect motion sensor controller.
"Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is a multiplayer action adventure game with platforming elements that require precision and control," a Blitz Games representative explained, "Kinect isn't the ideal user interface for a movement-heavy game. A Kinect Epic Mickey game, set in Wasteland, is an interesting idea but it would be a completely different game."
Blitz Games is best known for such titles as Michael Phelps: Push the Limit, the Puss in Boots videogame adaptation, and the Yoostar video karaoke titles.
