Red 5 Studios has announced that its upcoming free-to-play MMO third-person shooter Firefall will be demoed at the upcoming PAX East convention next week from the 6th to 8th April in Boston, MA. In addition, exclusive demos will be given away to attendees, which will feature new elements of the MMO as well as previously unreleased PvP content.
Firefall is described as an “open world PC action shooter” in which players play on a post-apocalyptic world 200 years in the future as a mysterious alien race called “the Chosen” have invaded.
The demo at PAX East 2012 will show off key characters, missions, crafting mechanics, and players who engage in it will receive permanent invites to play the beta after the show. Those who want to register for the beta but are unable to attend PAX East can sign up at the official website here.
Firefall was demoed at SWSX 2012 two weeks ago. Red 5 released a video showing off the reaction to the MMOTPS, as well as some gameplay from the demo.
