Robert Bowling, whom for many was the face of Infinity Ward even before co-founders Jason West and Vincent Zampella were fired by Activision, has announced he is leaving the developer as its creative strategist.
“Today, I resign from my position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision,” Bowling announced from his well-known FourZeroTwo Twitter feed.
Activision released a statement to the press regarding Bowling’s departure, reading ”We sincerely thank Robert for his many years of service. He’s been a trusted and valued member of the Infinity Ward team. We wish him all the best on his decision to pursue future opportunities.”
Bowling has yet to reveal his future plans.
