Rest easy fellow Europeanites as news travels from GameStop’s executive vice president of strategy business and brand development, Michael Hogan, that Sony will have its PS4 out everywhere in 2013.
There was concern that a PS4 launch in Europe would come later in 2014, but apparently Sony wants a much smaller gap between regions. GameStop are ”still waiting” on Microsoft’s plans.
”We know that Sony will introduce the PlayStation 4 globally in 2013, but we are still waiting to see what Microsoft’s final plans are,” Michael Hogan told financial analysts.
History is on the side of a staggered release as Sony has traditionally launched new hardware in Japan and North America first, before getting around to Europe a few months down the line. Are GameStop’s words via Michael Hogan to be believed? Nothing is set in stone especially as Microsoft is yet to reveal their new toy.
