PC fans of BioShock 2 are set to receive free Minerva’s Den DLC on Steam if you already own it. The reason behind this is 2K has stripped out the Games for Windows Live client ahead of its July shutdown.
Anyone who owns a digital or retail key for BioShock 2 can now activate it via Steam, with full achievement and controller support, as well as all multiplayer DLC too.
In other GFWL-just-die-die-die!! news, Rocksteady are reportedly beta testing the client’s removal for both Batman: Arkham titles, and ditching SecuROM.
There’s a 2K Games Weekend sale running on Steam until October 7th with 75% daily deals, and 50% off the entire catalogue. Currently in the sale spotlight is XCOM: Enemy Unknown which is also freely playable until Sunday.
