We follow five people and a dog through battles on the Western Front. It’s powered by the UbiArt Framework engine, and so uses a comic-book 2D style.
Ubisoft wanted to address the first World War as it’s been almost 100 years since conflict threaten the Great Powers. This is the fourth title on UbiArt Framework.
”As the WW1 centennial approaches, we felt it was the right time to explore such a unique yet almost forgotten time period in our history,” said Paul Tumelaire, creative director at Ubisoft. ”The UbiArt Framework engine helps us to use a strong art direction and great character-driven story-telling to both entertain and engage players emotionally.”
The other UbiArt Framework game in the works right now is Far Cry 3 creative director’s fantasy RPG Child of Light.
