Thomas Was Alone developer Mike Bithell has announced Volume, an isometric stealth game with environments player generated. Its supported platforms will be revealed ”shortly” with it showcasing this September.
He describes his latest creation as a ”fast-paced, smart action game” where players cannot kill but use their Ricochet to ”control enemies, steal loot” and finish levels.
The project will be in playable form at the Eurogamer Expo this September 26th, with story and cast detailed later from October 19th at GameCity in Nottingham.
A big focus of the game is on the level editor so players can challenge one another to solving these action puzzles. The game is very reminiscent of Metal Gear Solid’s VR missions, which is no bad thing.
