Microsoft has re-confirmed that the price of first party Xbox One games will remain the same as the price of Xbox 360 games: 50 GBP. The publisher had already stated that games in the US would remain $59.99.
Interestingly, the publisher also used the modifier “first party” games. Electronic Arts has already announced $69.99 priced games in the US, and other third party publishers may follow suit.
It’s also interesting to note, though, that EA has priced the UK version of Need for Speed: Rivals at a lower 43.99 GBP, so the higher priced Xbox One games may be reserved strictly for their premium titles. Stay tuned.
