It’s entirely possible the last console they played was SNES. However the true comedic gold was reserved for ‘how much it would cost’ for a PC to tackle the Xbox One: £3,000.
This is a console that has largely failed to deliver a number of high profile titles over 30 frames per second because of performance issues, or upscaled from 720p to 1080p.
It’s most amusing to see non-gamers try and articulate their inner child discovering joy for the first time playing a ‘big boy’ console, but bare in the mind this is a mainstream TV programme. They were also giving away an Xbox One in a promotion so there is a huge incentive to fail in mentioning rival PlayStation 4 (that’s just a £2,600 PC - yuck!)
Of course the swipe at PC is less forgivable unless Ireland is under the yoke of tyranny from specialised high-street retailers who grotesquely over price their ‘powerful’ PC rigs and bar online shopping. Check out the captured footage below to enjoy snorting derisively whilst using your three grand PC to power a YouTube video.
They don’t even play it on a big screen for feck’s sake! We’ve got bigger CPU temp monitors than that.
