Deus Ex Universe was rather quietly announced by Eidos Montreal last year, described by the studio as ”an ongoing, expanding and connected game world built across a generation of core games.”
Now a logo for the project has emerged just before this week’s E3 convention, suggesting that Eidos may be gearing up to reveal more about the mysterious title.
Although Edios are planning a new game for PC and current-gen consoles that will mark the beginning of Deus Ex Universe, the name actually refers to the next stage in the overarching franchise across various media platforms. From the announcement blog post:
Deus Ex: Universe will include PC and console games, but also additional Deus Ex games and experiences available in other media such as tablets, smartphones, books, graphic novels, etc… You might have seen the name pop up recently in the press – well this is what it’s all about.
Found and posted on Twitter by gaming blog AGB, the Universe logo apparently came from an ”EU trademark database”. We’ll keep an eye out over the next few days for any further information.
