Ubisoft showed off both new gameplay footage and a cinematic trailer for Tom Clancy’s The Division at E3 yesterday. Post-apocalyptic New York does not appear to be a very healthy place to live.
In the CGI story trailer we hear about the deadly virus that has torn the world apart and slain millions, then we meet The Division, who are trying to hold civilisation together in the face of chaos.
Alongside that cheery little number, we also got a look at the shooter in action. Some great-looking, believably devastated environments and a lot of decent-looking if fairly familiar third-person shooting. Interesting little detail: notice the damage numbers popping up a la Borderlands. Will we see more RPG-like elements?
Originally set for release on PC and consoles this year, The Division was recently pushed back to 2015.
