Squatting Penguins have now released their god game The Mims Beginning onto Steam Early Access, after three years in development and a funded indiegogo campaign. It’s a colourful and funny god sim.
Currently it’s got a story mode, colony expansion, creature autonomy, tech research, natural disasters, divine powers, real-time physics, and landscapes with weather. A ‘free mode’ is in the works.
It’s a blend of god sim and real-time strategy in The Mims Beginning, with currently ten playable levels and two prologue levels, which is around 12-20 hours of gameplay, says Squatting Penguins. There’s still more to come to the Early Access build with new levels, missions, enemies and random events.
