With all of the news and hype that follows in the wake of big time MMOs like World of Warcraft, it’s sometimes easy to forget the original mainstay of the genre, but Everquest is still alive and kicking. The latest expansion, Terrors of Thalumbra, dropped today for Everquest 2.
The newest expansion features several new items of interest for players, the first and foremost of which is a new Subterranean Overland Zone for players to explore, buried deep under the surface of Norrath. With this comes new signature quests for Adventure and Tradeskill players and new dungeons that scale from levels 20 up to 95.
The expansion is available in several different available packages. The standard edition which simply includes the expansion runs at $39.99, but there are all sorts of Collector’s ($89.99) and Premium ($139.99) Editions available which pack all sorts of goodies for dedicated players looking to get in on a few rewards and exclusives otherwise unobtainable.
