Koei Tecmo is bringing another of its action-packed Musou titles to the PC this year - the slightly confusingly-named Samurai Warriors 4 II will come to Steam on October 2.
Much like Bladestorm: Nightmare is a revised version of Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War, Samurai Warriors 4 II of revised edition of Samurai Warriors 4
The game takes place in the Sengoku period of Japan, when various Daimyo clans battled for control of the country. Like other games in the genre it features mass battles where your hero tears dozens of enemies into human confetti, and big open maps with multiple objectives. This revised version adds a number of changes, including a new character leveling system, new Awakening Skills for each character, and all the DLC released for the core game.
It also adds thirteen new missions to the game's story mode, and introduces Infinite Castle Mode, a kind of fancy survival challenge which has you battling past increasingly tough enemies in search of high scores.
This is the first time that Samurai Warriors 4 II will be available outside Japan. If you happen to be attending the London MCM Expo this May 22-24, you'll have the first chance to get your hands on a playable build of the game at Koei Tecmo's booth.
