Rockstar has announced some new content for Grand Theft Auto Online has been released today, including the Lowriders downloadable content as well as a Scene Creator for some quality scripting and machinema.
The Lowriders update features Benny's Original Motor Works, where players can modify their rides to be iconic Los Angeles, er, Los Santos lowriders. The content also adds some new vehicles including the Declasse Moonbeam van, which allows for two-handed weapons to be fired from the back doors, and the Willard Faction.
Car mods that can be done at the Motor works includes altering Hydraulics, Engines, Steering Wheels, Rims, Tires, Gear Shift Levers, Horns, Bobbleheads, rear window Plaques, Vanity Plates & Plate Holders, Soundsystem Mods, custom Paint Jobs and more.
The update also includes some new game modes related to the additon of Lowriders, such as "Keep the Pace", which basically puts the players in the plot of the film "Speed". Slow down too much, your ride explodes. Offense Defense is a vehicular Cops & Robbers racing game, and Relay is exactly that - a relay race using cars.
The other major addition is the Scene Creator, which is a feature added to the Rockstar Editor's Director Mode to make some cool scenarios as well as machinema clips. It adds dozens of clothing, hair, tattoos and accessories as well as new triggers such as having a location explode after players race through it.
