In case for some mad reason you’ve forgotten, May 4 is when we as a civilization come together to celebrate Star Wars Day, in much the same way as the humble ewoks gathered to celebrate the destruction of the first Death Star. Godspeed, furry warriors.
Where was I? Oh yes, GOG.com has kicked off a special Star Wars sale to honour the date, offering several classic Lucasarts titles.
For a kickoff, you can grab the charming but slightly rubbish Star Wars: Rebel Assault I & II for $10, and the rather more excellent Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (one of my favourite games, actually) and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast for $8. The Collected Editions of both Star Wars X-Wing and Star Wars TIE-Fighter are also on sale, and owners of the original versions of both games can upgrade for free.
If you really want to binge on lightsabers and blaster rifles, however, you’ll want to check out the Blaster Bundle and the Saber Bundle. The former offers 7 games up to 50% off, while the latter offers10 games at a flat 77% off. Head through the links above for the full details.
You can make use of the Star Wars sale until Thursday, May 7, 6:59AM GMT. If that’s STILL not enough, GOG will be streaming some classic Star Wars games on its Twitch channel over the next few days.
