It’s time to throw off those 32-bit shackles as the new Alpha 9 update for kingdom-builder Stonehearth introduces the option to go 64-bit. This month’s alpha update also rebalances combat and adds some music for it.
We also get travelling merchants visiting our towns and they’ll buy our excess wares, and we can now toggle an autosave option. There’s a ”whole boatload of bug fixes” thrown in for good measure.
”This release contains some big new features, along with performance and stability improvements. Thanks to everyone who helped test the build and provide bug reports,” posted Radiant Entertainment. The indie studio has promised an alpha update every month.
We also get new harvesting commands which let us clear and cancel them, and we can now loot those goblin corpses. They can also set up raiding camps near our towns and so we’ll have to deal with them or face being overrun. Check out the Alpha 9 blog post for the full changelog.
