As one sale falls, another is always around to take its place. That's how the legend goes, and GOG are making sure to stick to tradition as their own Fall sale takes over from the Halloween Steam sale.
Similar to how Steam sometimes handle their bigger events, GOG has turned this year's Fall Sale into a game of its own in a clear, but noble effort to get consumers spending more on a pile of games they'll add to their New Year's Resolution pile. There's discounts, free games and an XP system to earn a couple more rewards. Sneaky!
Starting today, users have 48 horus to pick up a free copy of Little Big Adventure 2. Expeditions: Conquistador, Dex</b> and Victor Vran can all be unlocked for free by earning enough XP throughout the 10 day event.
How do you earn XP, you say? Buying stuff, of course. While there's badges to collect, you won't gain access to the free titles until you amass enough XP through purchases - that, or buy Divinity: Original Sin 2 or Tyranny. Those games will unlock the 3 'freebies' in one go.
Now onto the deals. While the sale will fluctuate daily, offering different titles and discounts as the days roll by, the first day includes The Witcher 3, Grim Fandango Remastered and Pillars of Eternity to name a few. You'll just have to keep an eye on the store page yourself for the rest of the offers.
