Two man studio YCJY has announced that their post-apocalyptic submarine game, The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human, will be arriving on this coming Tuesday, January 19th. The game takes place hundreds of years in the future after global warming has forced humanity into underwater cities.
"As resources began to dwindle in the year 2971, sub-aquatic spaceships were sent to a nearby wormhole to look for habitable planets," explains the developer. When one sub, the Argo9, returns millions of years later, humans have gone extinct, leaving behind the shells of the underwater cities. It's up to the player to discover what happened to humanity.
Gamers who opt for the Premium Edition of the game will get a bundle including a pixel art map with all of the boss locations marked on it, the full soundtrack composed by Karl Flodin, and a digital booklet that gives some extra information about the story, weapons, and upgrades. The Premium Edition also includes background wallpaper for their rigs.
