As with every League of Legends patch, the rapid updates do more than add a couple of balance and Quality of Life alterations. The game plays host to over 130 unique champions, meaning a lot of room for cosmetic skins to help line the pockets of Riot Games. And the newest one might just be their most elaborate yet.
With the last patch ushering in a swarm of Star Guardian skins to go alongside the one Lux recieved back in 2014, the cosmic spell-slinger has graduated top of her class, it would seem. Earning herself the game’s newest Ultimate skin - a much more expensive costume change that brings new animations, voice-over and effects.
Lux’s new ‘Elementalist’ skin not only awards her a set of new clothes and animation effects, but 10 of them. Starting a match in her base ‘Light’ form, Lux can tap into 4 different elements after dishing out enough damage changing all her assets out for those deserving of her chosen arcana. Push her a little bit further and she’ll be able to master 1 of another set of 5 different elements changing her once again.
She’ll set you back around 3250 RP - that’s around $23, and that’s assuming you already have Lux unlocked on your account. If not, you’ll either have to spend a little more to aquire her, or play more matches until you can. There’s even an Elementalist ward skin set to debut around the same time. Details area a little scarse on that one, however.
As usual, there’s no static release date for the patch set to bring Elementalist Lux into the battlefield, but chances are it’ll be in the next week or two. As usual, there’s a beautiful log-in screen for her debut.
