Since the 2014 release of Destiny, there's been a long-standing wish to see Bungie's pseudo-MMO shooter to make its way to PC. After all, what better use of a mouse than a first-person shooter?
We knew it would happen. Eventually. Even before Destiny 2 was officially a thing, we would feed on any titbit of news that might hint at a PC release - ending support for older platforms or simply bringing out a new expansion. In the end, the sequel was our last bastion. And it delivered. Today, we get to see what we'll play in September.
Taking place today at 6pm BST is the 'Destiny 2 Gameplay Premiere'. It's a livestream event designed to show off a game that's only had a brief cinematic trailer thus far. Best of all, it's being broadcast from an airplane hanger. All that metal is good for reception, right?
The Destiny Franchise Will Officially Arrive On PC When Destiny 2 Launches September 8
Promising 'special guest' appearances alongside the Bungie team, we're certain to get a mix of action, narrative and the intricate systems within. The Cabal threat looms over the universe once more, and there's a good chance we'll be dealing with 'The Red Legion' before all else. Our home for the last few years - the Tower - has been bombarded by enemy fire and we're out to get revenge.
You've seen them in the original trailer already, but we'll likely be learning more about the Guardian classes' making up the Vanguard. There's Ikora Rey filling the Warlock role with Commander Zavala fitting the bill as a Titan. Lastly, Cayde-6 is the wise-cracking Hunter that stood out from the start.
6pm, folks. 6pm BST. A good time for the Europe means an early start for America. Watch it here or down below.
