You've been hearing about it for weeks, but it's finally time to get head back to Italy. It's 1944 and there's some more atomic weapon tomfoolery afoot. And guess who's been drafted in to shut it down!
Being part of the Sniper Elite 4's first paid-for offerings, Deathstorm Part 1 is, clearly, the first of its kind with a further two episodes planned between now and June. Or May, if the schedule lines up well enough.
You likely haven't had enough of the main-game's x-ray kill cam, and you'll be given lots of opportunity to see this fine piece of computer engineering back at work throughout the ongoing campaign. There's plenty of explosions ready to shatter skeletons and enough reasons to move away from picking off enemies from a distance instead opting for some CQC bloodshed or some rifles with a dramatically faster firing rate.
Of course, stealth is still key. So while staying back to pick off your target from long-range is likely to be a staple strategy, making good use of a knife and picking off bigger groups of enemies with a faster weapon before they can alert the proper authories will be another viable approach. You can't exactly snipe your way to victory with a tank in full-view, but there's bound to be some similarly satisfying ways to go about solving that little problem.
Need a copy? While a basic copy on Green Man Gaming won't break the bank, you'll have to pick up the Season Pass to get in on this particular main update. The best way to do that is to grab the Deluxe Edition for £51.99.
