It may have originally been due to launch last year, but we're just glad to see it arrive at all. The original Styx: Master of Shadows may have garnered average review - but average is average! It's enough for a second round. So that's what we're getting with Styx: Shards of Darkness.
Follow the odd couple of trailers over the last month or two, the developers are getting stuck in with more timely updates that can be pumped out in an afternoon or so. Much like these news posts.
Heading straight to Facebook to land into people's notification panels, Cyanide Studios published the first of these posts on Friday announcing their plans to keep them going until the game launches in two months time. Straight off the bat, they're devling into the details of the environment; starting with Thoben - the City of Thieves. Taking drastic measures against the Green Plague, the humans of Thoben hold a vendetta against the goblins they once banded together to cull from their land. Korrangar might possible be home to the event we saw tragically cut short in the last trailer. Being a mountside fortress built for th Dark Elves, who rarely open their giant doors to outsiders, you can be sure you'll be tasked with finding a way into the grand city. And there's the Hunter's Village, too. Housing a growing population of Dwarvish hunters, their keen sense of smell threaten Styx's use of the shadows.
