Bravely Default 2 sees the series returning after a six-year hiatus, treating fans to another dose of JRPG goodness. But while its Nintendo Switch version is already out, genre enthusiasts who’ve skipped on the handheld console might very well be wondering about whether or not a PC release date is scheduled or has been talked about.
Bravely Default 2 launched as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, so PC users can’t play it at the moment. The series as a whole has, in fact, been exclusively present on Nintendo consoles since the beginning. We’re starting to see more exclusive franchises move over to the PC platform, so it’s possible that we might see something in the future.
Sadly, there also hasn’t been any mention of a Bravely Default 2 PC release date so far, which could mean that we’re looking at another entry in the series that will ultimately stick to Nintendo’s consoles.
Despite its name, Bravely Default 2 is actually the third game in the series, following the original Bravely Default and Bravely Second: End Layer. The titles have gathered a following of their own and stand out thanks to their job class system and awesome turn-based combat.
Bravely Default 2 actually moves the action to the new continent of Excillant, its story following four different protagonists. This new start, so to speak, could be the perfect moment for the series to reach other platforms.
We’re keeping our fingers crossed to learn more about a PC release date soon and will update this article should any news appear in the future.
