Endless Legend 2, the highly-anticipated fantasy 4X strategy game from publisher Hooded Horse and developer Amplitude Studios, is getting a demo today, giving everyone interested a taste of two of its playable factions ahead of its early access launch later in September.
Endless Legend 2’s demo will feature the resilient Kin of Sheredyn and harmonious Aspects as playable factions, while the Necrophages take on the mantle of AI-controlled opponents. In addition, two tidefall events change the environment as we explore Saiadha.
Endless Legend 2 Demo
Endless Legend 2’s demo will remain live for a whole week, until August 18, and comes with a turn cap that limits how much we can play. Furthermore, demo progress won’t transfer to the early access release.
Nevertheless, the 4X strategy game has drawn quite a bit of attention to itself in the lead-up to launch, passing the 250,000 Steam wishlist milestone.
The full version of the game will include five playable factions, remove the turn cap, alongside a host of other features and mechanics that aim to keep us exploring Saiadha and its shifting environments.
The original stood out thanks to its distinct factions mechanics, stunning visuals, and excellent soundtrack, and the demo should give everyone interested an idea of how well the sequel manages to capture that magic while pushing forward into uncharted territory.
Endless Legend 2 is slated to launch on PC, via Steam Early Access, on September 22, 2025. Should its demo leave us wanting more, we thankfully don’t have that long a wait ahead of us.
