After a successful first showcase, Galaxies is set to double down on hot upcoming AA and indie releases from studios all over the world, with publishers like NACON, Saber Interactive’s 3D Realms, and Team17, among others, joining with all sorts of premieres and updates.
Three unannounced title reveals will be leading the charge, with some already-announced games like the narrative-heavy horror Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss or the ambitious JRPG Edge of Memories also giving us exciting updates straight from NACON.
When it comes to Saber Interactive’s enduring 3D Realms label, players will be reminded of Painkiller’s big launch (set for October 21) and its old-fashioned take on three-player co-op action.
Traditional RPG lovers will also get a new look at Solasta 2, among other hot announcements from Kepler Interactive. Anyone who enjoyed Baldur’s Gate 3 should keep an eye on that one, we think. The original was a nice surprise, and the sequel is taking things to the next level from what we’ve been able to see so far.
Other big titles which will be part of the celebration are Motion Twin’s charming roguelite Windblown, now in early access, supernatural co-op heist-themed Dark Hours from Piece of Cake Studios, and the shiny squad-based cyberpunk shooter developed by emptyvessel DEFECT. It sure sounds like there will be something for all kinds of players in this showcase.
Of course, we’ve been told to expect many more reveals and surprises, so make sure to tune in at 8pm GMT/ 9pm CEST / 12pm PST / 3pm EST via Galaxies’ Twitch and YouTube channels.
