Publisher and developer Blackmill Games today announced multiplayer first-person shooter Gallipoli as the fourth entry in its WW1-themed game series. Focusing on the Middle Eastern Front, the title pits British forces against the might of the Ottoman Empire as they “fight to control the beaches of the peninsula, defend key positions in Kut al Amara and charge across the deserts of lower Mesopotamia.”
Gallipoli continues to lean into the squad-based, tactics-heavy gameplay of its predecessors, launching in 2026 with its very own signature game mode. Although its developer has yet to delve in-depth into how it plays, it did share a few snippets of information, including the fact that the 50-player engagement revolves around momentum.

“If you’re on the attacking side, your aim is to complete your objectives as quickly as possible,” reads a blog post dedicated to Gallipoli’s announcement. “Doing so keeps your momentum high and your allies motivated. The defenders however, will want to bunker down and hold the objectives as long as possible to waste the enemy’s momentum. Once that starts to bleed dry, the attackers are in trouble.”
Since the launch of Isonzo, the previous entry in the series, the team at Blackmill Games has grown to more than 30 members, allowing the upcoming entry to benefit from a series of notable improvements.
Improved graphics and upgraded gunplay count among them, the latter aiming to “faithfully recreate the weaponry used on the Middle Eastern Front, which was usually quite obsolete, weird or both.”
Progression, loadouts, cosmetics, and the health system have also seen improvements, and we’ll learn more about them over the coming months.
Gallipoli’s maps see us battling it out “across coastal dunes, dry deserts, urban areas & more,” while the WW1 Game Series dedication to authenticity will be easily noticeable in the arsenal we use, the uniforms worn by troops, as well as its music. Crossplay is also confirmed for launch.
Gallipoli is headed to PC, via both Steam and the Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S at some point in 2026.
