Oxygen Not Included has finally left Early Access and, if you’ve been spending time with the game in the past days, you might have noticed your duplicants running into the Floral Scents germ. But should you worry about it?
The answer is only sometimes. Introduced in Oxygen Not Included’s Quality of Life Mk III upgrade, the Floral Scents germ should only worry you as long as you’ve got Duplicants with the allergies trait.
Oxygen Not Included Floral Scents
As long as your Duplicants aren’t susceptible to allergies, the Floral Scents germ actually grants those who come in contact with it a -5% stress level reduction per cycle via the Smelled Flowers attribute.
The source of the Floral Scents germ can be tracked down to two plants: the Bristle Blossom, found in the temperate biome, and the Buddy Bud, found in the swamp biome.
The Floral Scents germ is useful in combating Slimelung and can “ward off” other germs, as only one can occupy a tile at any given time. Here are its properties:
